Creating the new Media Centre for East Calgary Village will be of economic benefit to the entire city.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n As a past Radio and Television Broadcaster for more than 20 years, I am in full support of the Cultural and Social activities that cultivate our community. I personally understand their necessity through my own participation in many social events, music concerts, pageants and religious festivals.<\/span><\/p>\n I value the contributions of Calgary\u2019s FILM AND PRODUCTION FACILITIES AND THE GROWING INDUSTRY IN OUR CITY.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n POST PANDEMIC,\u00a0 WE WILL SEE GROWTH WITH PRESENT FILMS, post-production and increased activities with the Calgary FILM CENTRE.<\/span><\/p>\n It is estimated that the annual GDP impact of the Film Industry is projected to be upwards of $480 million dollars with continued expected growth.<\/span><\/p>\n This industry will continue to provide jobs, economic growth and provide economic stability.<\/span><\/p>\n I would encourage the youth in our City to consider careers in the Entertainment and Film Industry.<\/span><\/p>\n My five-pillar policy platform calls for the development of jobs within the economy. Policies and initiatives must be pursued in order to create a stable market for job creators and for small businesses to succeed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n What better way to create change, than in the Entertainment and Film Industry of Calgary and beyond.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIn the spirit of reconciliation, Team Kumar Sharma acknowledges that we live, work and play on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut\u2019ina, the \u00cey\u00e2xe Nakoda Nations, the M\u00e9tis Nation (Region 3), and all people who make their homes in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta.<\/span><\/i> \u201c<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n
